Corey Daniely, a 33-year-old musician from Santa Rosa, California, was last seen on his birthday, August 7, 2023, in unincorporated Fresno County. He was reported missing by his family on August 9, 2023. Daniely, also known by his stage name "Crumb Dread," was a noted musician in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is described as a Black male, 5'8" tall and weighing 190 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing red sweatpants and Nike sneakers, but was reportedly not wearing a shirt.
On the day he went missing, Daniely and a friend were dropped off at a home in the vicinity of South Bishop and West Annadale Avenues in Kerman. Around 3:00 a.m., following an argument with someone at the residence, Daniely was seen walking away from the house. He headed northwest in the direction of Kerman, an area with which he was not familiar. Daniely has not been seen or heard from since. His disappearance is considered suspicious by authorities, a view shared by his mother who stated that it was uncharacteristic of him to leave without a shirt on.
The Fresno County Sheriff's Office is investigating Daniely's disappearance. Search and rescue teams have conducted multiple searches in the surrounding area, but no evidence related to his whereabouts has been found. Investigators have interviewed everyone who was at the home on the day he was last seen. Daniely is listed in the national database of missing persons. His case has been classified as a missing person with suspicious circumstances, as it is highly out of character for him to be out of contact for such a prolonged period.
Daniely's family has emphasized that his disappearance is highly unusual. His mother stated that he was a responsible father who maintained regular contact with his family and would not have abandoned them. Further raising concern, Daniely's band, with whom he performed as "Crumb Dread," had a gig scheduled in Ukiah, California, on August 11, which he failed to attend. His mother noted that, aside from his young son, his band was his top priority, and he was always punctual for his musical commitments. As of late 2023, his family was still actively searching for answers.
