Thomas Harris, a 60-year-old resident of Boothbay, Maine, was last seen on the evening of January 2, 2023, working outside his home on Butler Road. The next morning, his truck was found running in the yard, but Harris had vanished, leaving behind his cell phone and other belongings. His disappearance prompted extensive search efforts by the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, the Maine Warden Service, and volunteers.
Authorities conducted thorough searches of nearby quarries and ponds using drones and submersible equipment, but no signs of Harris were found. Additionally, there were reported sightings in various locations, including a bank in Bangor and a restaurant in Biddeford, though these leads did not result in any breakthroughs. Harris was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, camouflage pants, and work boots.
Despite months of investigation and numerous tips, his disappearance remains a mystery, with law enforcement continuing to ask the public for information that could assist in locating him. The case remains active, with occasional brainstorming sessions to review potential leads.
