In the winter of 2023, concern grew for a 61-year-old man from Shawnee, Oklahoma, named Male Jeffrey Grass. He was last seen on January 9, 2023, and as days turned into weeks, his absence became a source of deep worry for those who knew him. At the time of his disappearance, Jeffrey was described as a Native American man, standing between 5'6" and 5'8" tall and weighing approximately 167 to 170 pounds. He had black and graying hair, and brown eyes.
A particularly distinguishing feature was that he was missing his left eye and wore a glass eye in its place, in addition to wearing glasses. The last time anyone saw him, he was wearing a black jacket and black sweatpants.
Jeffrey was known to have several distinct tattoos, which were shared publicly in the hopes that someone might recognize them. These included an Indian head and an Indian warrior face on his back, bear claws on his chest and abdomen, a rose on his right arm, and a warrior shooting an arrow on his right leg and calf. He was believed to be driving a white 2004 Chevrolet Venture van with a missing driver's side handle. He also went by several aliases, including Sgt. Mayberry, Netoe, or Jeffrey W. Netoe. The Shawnee Police Department was the investigating agency for his case, and they sought information from the public to help locate him.
Official reports from the investigating agency have since indicated that Jeffrey Grass has been found alive. The specific details surrounding his recovery, including the exact date and the circumstances of how and where he was found, have not been widely publicized. The news that he is safe has brought a sense of relief to his community and all those who were troubled by his disappearance. The case, which began with the unsettling quiet of a man gone missing, has concluded with the welcome news of his safe return.Last Seen: Jan 9, 2023
