In the winter of 2020, the life of April Leann Johnson, a 39-year-old mother, took a turn into uncertainty, leaving her family and community with lingering questions. The last time April spoke with her thirteen-year-old daughter was in December of 2019. A month later, on January 14, 2020, April was arrested in Waynesboro, Mississippi, for disturbance of the peace.
