In the fall of 2025, a young woman named Chantel Elizabeth Diane Cohens, aged 21, vanished from Richland, Washington. On November 7th, she was seen leaving her father's home and getting into an SUV described only as being dark in color. Since that day, her family has not had any contact with her, creating a void of information and a growing sense of concern for her well-being. The Walla Walla Police Department opened an investigation into her disappearance, but the circumstances surrounding her leaving and her current location remain unknown. Chantel is described as a Caucasian female, standing 5 feet tall and weighing around 105 pounds. She has shoulder-length, straight brown hair and green eyes. Distinguishing features that might help identify her include several tattoos: one of a diamond on her lower arm, various shapes on her left hand, and the words "little one" tattooed on her chest. It has also been noted that she has used the alias Mary Owens. Despite these details, and the case being entered into the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs #MP154080), she has not been located. The investigation into Chantel's disappearance has extended beyond her last known location in Richland. Law enforcement has indicated she has ties to the Vancouver, Washington area as well. Reports from early 2026 stated she may have been seen in Walla Walla around the first week of December 2025. The Walla Walla Police Department has appealed to the public for any information regarding her whereabouts, with Detective Chad Pederson named as a point of contact. The case is a collection of fragmented moments: leaving her father's house, entering a vehicle, and a possible sighting weeks later. The lack of communication and the unknown identity of the person in the dark SUV are central to the mystery of what happened to Chantel Cohens, leaving her family and community to hope for answers and her safe return.
