In the early autumn of 2025, concern grew for a 41-year-old man from Ocala, Florida. Daniel Franklin Atkisson, a resident of the Marion County community, was last seen on September 27, 2025. When communication from him ceased, those who knew him grew worried. The Ocala Police Department was notified, and an official investigation into his disappearance was launched on September 28, 2025.
