Terrell James Goldtooth was 37 years old when he was last seen on February 16, 2023, at his parents' residence in Teec Nos Pos, Arizona, located on the Navajo Reservation. Before his parents left the house, Terrell mentioned to them that he might be heading to Farmington, New Mexico. When his parents returned, Terrell was gone and has not been seen or heard from since. Terrell is described as a Native American male with brown hair and brown eyes, standing at 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 6 inches tall, and weighing between 140 and 180 pounds. He has several distinct tattoos, including the word 'love' on his right arm, 'A. Jones' on his chest, and 'family' on his left arm.
The circumstances surrounding Terrell's disappearance are made more challenging by the fact that he is known to be transient and does not own a cell phone, which makes it difficult for his family and law enforcement to track his whereabouts. There have been unconfirmed sightings of him in the Farmington, New Mexico area, specifically at the Northern Edge Casino and a local Walmart. These potential sightings have not yet been verified, but they offer a glimmer of hope for those searching for him. The Farmington Police Department is handling the investigation into his disappearance.
The case of Terrell Goldtooth is an active missing person investigation, and his family is seeking answers. His disappearance from tribal land highlights the ongoing crisis of missing and murdered Indigenous people. The lack of concrete leads and confirmed sightings has made the search for Terrell a painful and prolonged process for his loved ones. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
