Mayolo Carrillo Tovar, a 58-year-old man from Guanajuato, Mexico, disappeared on August 20, 2024, in Maverick County, Texas. He had embarked on a journey to Austin, Texas, to visit his terminally ill mother. After being denied a visa, he decided to cross the border illegally to fulfill his mother's wish to see him one last time.
