On the evening of March 30, 2025, in the quiet, affluent village of Old Brookville on Long Island, New York, 48-year-old Peishuan Fan and his 44-year-old wife, JuanJuan Zwang, disappeared from their home. The couple, who had moved to New York from China in 2022, were last seen after having dinner with their two sons, aged 20 and 12. The following morning, the sons left for an overnight trip to the Catskills and upon their return, found no trace of their parents. Concern grew when the couple remained out of contact, and their sons reported them missing to the Nassau County Police Department. Peishuan Fan is described as an Asian male, standing at 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 135 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. The initial investigation into the disappearance of Peishuan Fan and JuanJuan Zwang revealed a scene that was both ordinary and unsettling. There were no signs of a struggle or forced entry at their multi-million dollar home. Their personal belongings, including wallets and passports, were left behind, and their vehicles remained parked at the residence. This lack of evidence of a violent encounter or a planned departure left investigators with a puzzling case. Neighbors described the couple as friendly and expressed their shock at the sudden and mysterious nature of their disappearance. The Federal Bureau of Investigation joined the Nassau County Police in the search, exploring various possibilities, including abduction or a voluntary disappearance. A significant and disturbing development in the case came to light in the months following their disappearance. Investigators discovered that over $2.8 million had been systematically drained from the couple's bank accounts in late June and early July 2025. This led to the arrest of two individuals, Yinye “Roy†Wang and Qiuju Wu, who were charged with fraud. They allegedly used forged documents to gain access to the couple's finances. Despite these arrests, law enforcement has not publicly disclosed any direct link between the financial fraud and the couple's disappearance. The couple's two sons have since moved back to China to be with relatives, and a lawyer now speaks on their behalf. The case remains an active investigation, a deeply concerning mystery with a family anxiously awaiting answers. The community and law enforcement continue to hope for any information that could lead to their whereabouts, as the question of what happened to Peishuan Fan and JuanJuan Zwang lingers.
