In early February of 2025, the community of Trinidad, Colorado, was met with concern and uncertainty surrounding the disappearance of 39-year-old Edward "Ed" Lee Santillanes. The last known contact with Santillanes was on February 3, 2025. He was a recognizable figure, standing at 6 feet 2 inches tall with brown hair, hazel eyes, and a beard and mustache.
