Daniel Larry Suniga was 42 years old when he disappeared from Port Costa, California, on June 23, 2022. Suniga, a Hispanic male who also went by the nickname "Feenix," was living at a park residence in the Carquinez Strait Regional Shoreline area when surveillance cameras captured him leaving the residence at approximately 4:45 that morning. Additional publicly listed tattoos include crosses and banners on his outer forearms incorporating the words "Valor," "Respect," "Trust," "Truth," "Loyalty," and "Honor." Other reported tattoos include a sun and stars on one side of his abdomen, a crescent moon and stars on the other, an Iron Cross in the center of his chest, writing across his upper chest near the collarbone, and tribal designs on both upper arms near the shoulders. These permanent markings provide investigators with important identifying features should information surface involving an unidentified person or a sighting that might be connected to him.
The East Bay Regional Park Police Department is the investigating agency, and California's Department of Justice continues to maintain Suniga in its missing-person records under agency case number 24-04018.
