On July 17, 2023, 47-year-old Jill Frances Crippes was reported missing in Iowa City, Iowa. She was last observed around 8:15 a.m. near 1022 Estron Street, walking west toward Willow Creek Park. At the time, she was believed to be wearing black pants, a black T-shirt with white lettering, and leopard print shoes.
In response to her disappearance, the Iowa City Police Department, in collaboration with the Iowa City Fire Department, initiated a comprehensive search operation.
Authorities thoroughly investigated all received tips and focused on Crippes' last known locations. They also reached out to residents in the vicinity of the 1000 Block of Estron Street and Willow Creek Park, encouraging those with home security cameras to review their footage for any signs of Crippes.
Despite these concerted efforts, as of November 25, 2024, Jill Crippes remains missing. The Iowa City Police Department continues to seek assistance from the public.
