On December 10, 2023, a fire occurred on the campus of California State University, Sacramento. The Sacramento Fire Department responded to the incident and, upon investigation, determined that the fire was an act of arson. Subsequent investigations led to the identification of 33-year-old Cody Alexander Haney as the primary suspect. An arrest warrant was issued by the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office, with bail set at $50,000.
