On August 27, 2024, 34-year-old Christa Merrill was last seen in Clarksburg, West Virginia. She had informed her family that she would return to Fairmont that day but never arrived. Prior to her disappearance, Merrill had been released from the North Central Regional Jail and was staying with an acquaintance in Clarksburg.
