In the autumn of 2024, concern mounted for 83-year-old Alice Macilvaine Parsons, a resident of Pittsboro, North Carolina. Family members grew worried after they were unable to get in touch with her, with the last contact having been by phone on the evening of October 17, 2024. This lack of communication prompted them to request a well-being check at her home on Graycliff Road the following day.
