Lamaj McWilliams, a 19-year-old from Queens, New York, was reported missing on June 6, 2024. He was last seen at Jacob Riis Park in the Rockaways area of Queens. Lamaj went missing while swimming along with another teenager after lifeguards had already gone off duty for the day. The strong rip tides and challenging waters of Jacob Riis Park contributed to the dangerous situation, and the two teens were unable to make it back to shore.
