Hans Munich, a 53-year-old pilot, was last seen on July 20, 2024, when the plane he was aboard went missing in the Fairweather Mountain Range in Alaska. Munich was traveling with his partner Tanya Hutchins and experienced Haines pilot Sam Wright. The aircraft, a 1948 Beechcraft Bonanza, was flying from Juneau to Yakutat but failed to arrive at its intended destination.
