On July 20, 2024, 50-year-old Tanya Hutchins, along with her partner Hans Munich and pilot Samuel 'Sam' Wright, boarded a 1948 silver Beechcraft Bonanza A35 in Juneau, Alaska. The group was making the journey back to their hometown of Yakutat, a flight that should have taken about an hour.
