She was last reported wearing black cut-up jeans and a black shirt, and authorities said she may have been traveling in a gray 2002 Acura MDX with Mississippi tag HPA8639. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation issued a Silver Alert after she was last seen at about 7:30 p.m. on July 18, 2023, in the 100 block of Hidden Valley Lane in Hinds County.
The early public appeals emphasized concern for Latasha’s safety and well-being. Family members told local media that she had a medical condition that could impair her judgment, which added urgency to the Silver Alert and the search for both her and her vehicle.
