Tom Ray Starkel, a 19-year-old from Palmdale, California, was last seen on the evening of December 5, 1979. After leaving his girlfriend's house around 10:00 p.m., Starkel is believed to have returned to his apartment, but he has not been heard from since. His disappearance was reported three days later by his mother. Unfortunately, before police arrived, she had unknowingly cleaned the apartment, potentially erasing crucial evidence.
