In the early morning hours of May 11, 1991, 24-year-old Terry Eugene Rouse vanished after attending a party at a residence on Swamp Road, a remote road leading from Waycross, Georgia, to the Okefenokee Swamp. He was reportedly last seen by a witness around 3 a.m., sleeping inside his light blue Ford Thunderbird. The witness stated he woke Rouse up before he and his friends departed the party.
