On February 22, 1993, Andrew "Lynn" Redmon Jr., a 40-year-old man, and his wife, Sharon "Kim" Redmon, disappeared from their hometown of Unionville, Virginia. That day, Andrew, a truck driver, and Sharon, who worked at an auto parts company, had left their young son in the care of Andrew's parents. Andrew visited his parents' home with some of his son's belongings, mentioning that he and Sharon were considering a trip to Florida. He also reportedly borrowed money from an acquaintance on the same day. This would be the last time either of them were seen. The couple, along with their blue 1986 Oldsmobile Calais, vanished without a trace. Approximately one week later, in early March 1993, Andrew's family grew concerned after being unable to contact the couple and reported them missing to the authorities. When law enforcement officials searched the Redmons' residence, they discovered a disturbing scene. Evidence of a struggle was apparent, including a broken table and shell casings from a small-caliber handgun. Further investigation revealed bloodstains on the carpet, which DNA testing later confirmed belonged to Andrew Redmon Jr. Investigators believe that another individual was present in the house on the day the couple disappeared, though no further details have been released to the public. The investigation into the disappearance of Andrew and Sharon Redmon has been ongoing for decades, yet many questions remain unanswered. There has been no activity on either of their bank accounts since the day they went missing. Authorities have noted inconsistencies in the statements provided by witnesses who were questioned at the time of the disappearance and have indicated the possibility of a suspect in the case, although this person has not been publicly identified and no arrests have been made. The case is officially classified as an abduction and possible homicide, leaving their family, including their son who was just a child at the time, without answers. The disappearance of Andrew and Sharon Redmon continues to be an unsolved mystery.
