Shannon Denise Melendi was a 19-year-old sophomore at Emory University with aspirations of becoming a Supreme Court Justice. On March 26, 1994, she was working her part-time job as a scorekeeper at the now-defunct Softball Country Club in Atlanta, Georgia. After her morning shift, around 12:40 p.m., she was seen buying a soft drink at a nearby Citgo gas station before taking her lunch break. She was never seen again.
