On the afternoon of March 30, 1997, a 20-year-old man named James Clyde Gramling left his home in south Richmond County, Georgia, with a simple plan. He was riding his green 1997 Honda TRX300 four-wheeler to a friend's house, a short five-minute trip away. He assured his parents he would call if his plans changed and he was going to be late.
