Jesus Valdovinos, a 19-year-old apprentice fireman assigned to the USS Ranier, disappeared on April 18, 1998, while on a ferry ride from Seattle to Bremerton, Washington. He was last seen between 4:00 and 5:15 a.m. on the ferry, but at some point during the trip, he vanished. A ferry crew member reported seeing someone matching his description later that morning on a return trip to Seattle, though this has not been confirmed.
