Arthur P. Deering, a 46-year-old Vietnam War veteran, was last seen on June 20, 1998, in Beacon, New York. Deering, who suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and diabetes, was dropped off by a friend at the Metro-North train station in Beacon. He was reportedly heading to the Montrose Veterans Affairs (VA) Hospital for treatment but never arrived.
