Nathan Andrew Edberg, a 21-year-old man from White Bear Lake, Minnesota, was last seen on the night of April 14, 1999. He had gone to Decoy’s Bar and Grill in White Bear Lake to have drinks with friends. Witnesses recall that Nathan appeared to be in a better mood than in previous days, despite dealing with personal struggles. Around the time of his disappearance, Nathan was grappling with several challenges, including his parents' pending divorce, a breakup with his longtime girlfriend,
and job loss. These factors contributed to his depression at the time.
After leaving the bar, Nathan’s truck was found abandoned in a ditch near the intersection of Interstate 35E and Highway 694 in Vadnais Heights. The vehicle appeared to have gotten stuck, but there was no trace of Nathan nearby. There were some footprints leading away from the scene, but no solid leads were discovered. His wallet, left behind at the bar, meant he had no identification with him when he disappeared. Despite an extensive search, Nathan has not been seen or heard from since that night.
Nathan’s family did not report him missing immediately, believing he might have needed time alone to process his personal issues. His bank accounts and credit cards have remained untouched since his disappearance, and no evidence of foul play has been found.
