William "Terry" Raulerson, aged 41, went missing on August 3, 2003, from Baker County, Florida. He was last seen by his co-workers around 6:00 p.m. after returning from their job at a football stadium in Gainesville. At 6:15 p.m., Raulerson spoke to his wife and mother, telling them he was going to assist a friend with truck problems. He left driving his wife's blue Nissan Pathfinder but was never seen again.
His vehicle was found abandoned two days later, on August 5, near the gate of a hunting club on Georgia Highway 121, between St. George and Macclenny, Florida. There was no sign of Raulerson at the scene, although it was known that he had a habit of parking his car there and riding with others into the hunting club. Witnesses reported seeing the vehicle at the gate around 9:00 p.m. on August 4, but no further clues were found.
A large search effort involving police, volunteers, and helicopters was conducted, but Raulerson was not located. Suspicion arose when an individual named James Richard Cromwell mentioned Raulerson's name while being arrested for an unrelated crime, but Cromwell's suicide shortly afterward left investigators without answers. Raulerson remains missing, and his case is still under investigation by local authorities in both Baker and Charlton Counties.
