Henry Charles Salvatori, aged 23, was last seen on January 24, 1990, in West Palm Beach, Florida. A student pilot, Salvatori was on a routine training flight with his flight instructor and friend, Michael Mergen. The pair departed from Palm Beach International Airport in a Cessna 152 at 7:23 p.m. in clear weather, carrying enough fuel for three hours. They were practicing landings at Palm Beach County Park Airport in Lantana but never returned to their starting point.
Salvatori had relocated from London, England, and befriended Mergen during high school. Despite an extensive search, including aerial and sea patrols covering a 250-mile radius, no trace of the men or their plane has ever been found. Authorities believe their plane may have crashed into the Atlantic Ocean, but the exact circumstances remain unknown, and their case remains classified as "lost/injured missing."
