In the early autumn of 2004, a 56-year-old businessman named Elliott Calhoun Rountree vanished, leaving behind a life that appeared both successful and stable. On September 16, he was last heard from as he left the vicinity of the 3700 block of Ashford-Dunwoody Road in Atlanta, Georgia.
