He was supposed to visit his family again on April 13, but when he failed to show up, they went to his home to check on him. Upon arrival, his family found the residence in disarray, which was highly unusual for Spellman. He was nowhere to be found, and no one has heard from him since.
At the time of his disappearance, Spellman was living in Woodland Hills, California. He had been renting a house and was planning to buy it, but the deal fell through, and he had been served with an eviction notice on the day he disappeared. Spellman’s family has expressed concern that he may have met with foul play. He was described as a charismatic individual, an aspiring actor who enjoyed working out and spending time with his family. There have been suggestions that he might have traveled to Las Vegas, Nevada, after his disappearance, although this has never been confirmed. He may have been driving a blue 1998 Lexus GS400 or a green 2004 Porsche 911 convertible.
