Jennifer Rayleen Casper-Ross was a 30-year-old mother whose life took a tragic and mysterious turn in the early morning hours of May 5, 2005, in Reno, Nevada. A former professional ballerina, her dancing career was cut short by an injury, leading her to pursue a degree in biomedical engineering at the University of Nevada at Reno with aspirations of finding a cure for autism or cancer.
