In the early evening of March 4, 2006, 42-year-old Donnie Edward Pennington was at an acquaintance's home near Old Georgia Highway and Timken Road in Gaffney, South Carolina. Around 8:00 p.m., he mentioned he was leaving to visit a friend and stated he would be back in about an hour. This was the last time he was ever seen or heard from.
