Betty Irene Redmond, a 25-year-old mother of two, was last seen on September 26, 1976, at her home in Pasadena, Maryland. According to her husband, she disappeared during the night, and by the time he awoke the next morning, both Betty and the family’s .22 caliber handgun were missing. Betty’s vehicle, a car she had been driving that evening, was later found abandoned at Baltimore/Washington International (BWI) Airport. Since that time, Betty has not contacted any friends or relatives, and there has been no sign of her.
At the time of her disappearance, Betty was taking medication for a nervous condition. Known by the nickname "Bimmy," she was described as 5'3" tall, weighing 110 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Investigators quickly suspected foul play, given the suspicious circumstances and the fact that she left behind her children. Despite extensive investigations and multiple theories, no arrests have been made, and her case remains unsolved to this day.
