Daniel Norman Shrock, age 42, went missing on January 1, 1979, while visiting family in Bakersfield, California. On the day of his disappearance, Shrock apparently wandered away from the home. Search dogs were able to track his scent to a nearby freeway, where the trail ended, but no further evidence was found. His case has remained unsolved for decades.
