David Andrew Rusch, a 29-year-old man from Stonington, Connecticut, disappeared on October 28, 1979, after setting out on a fishing trip in Long Island Sound. He had launched his 16-foot dory from Wequetequock Cove and was expected to return later that day. When David did not show up for work the following morning, he was reported missing.
