David Clark Shimel Jr., 29, disappeared from Sandpoint, Idaho, on May 10, 1986. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance remain unclear, and few details have emerged over the years. Shimel, who was 5'11" and weighed around 150 pounds, had distinguishing scars, including a four-and-a-half-inch scar on his right cheek, along with others on his left eyebrow, chest, and fingers. He was known to sometimes use aliases, such as Allen D. McDonald or David Clark McDonald Jr.
