Ada Jane Groomes, a 54-year-old woman from Scottdale, Pennsylvania, went missing on October 7, 1988. She was last seen at the bus company, Groomes Transit, which she co-owned with her estranged husband, Donald Groomes, in East Huntingdon Township. Ada had been separated from her husband for two years following 34 years of marriage, amid accusations of physical abuse.
