Karen Spencer, a 17-year-old from Miami Township, Ohio, was last seen in the early hours of December 29, 1989. She and her sister-in-law, Christy Spencer, had been driving along Interstate 275 when an argument broke out. Karen reportedly exited the car near the Montgomery Road and Ohio Route 28 exits, and Christy later claimed that Karen began walking north along the highway. When Christy returned to search for her, Karen was gone.
