Arlene Kazuko Tsuji, a 25-year-old woman from Aptos, California, was last seen on October 24, 1991, while on her daily evening walk in the Vienna Woods neighborhood near Cabrillo College. She was observed speaking with a man on Haas Drive around 7:00 p.m., but never returned home. Later, searchers found a broken piece of her Walkman headset nearby, indicating that something had gone wrong. Authorities believe that Tsuji may have been abducted, as it was uncharacteristic of her to go anywhere with strangers.
At the time of her disappearance, Tsuji worked as an office clerk at a travel agency and was known to be a private, dependable individual who was close to her family. Despite extensive efforts, no significant leads have emerged, and her case remains unsolved, with foul play strongly suspected. The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate the case, which is now classified as an unsolved homicide.
