Robert Joseph Thompson, aged 55, was last seen on May 1, 1993, in Sarasota, Florida. Prior to his disappearance, Thompson had informed people that he was planning to move to Colorado. However, instead of heading to Colorado, his vehicle was discovered abandoned on June 7, 1993, at Mile 1289 of the Alaska Highway, near Midway Lake in Tok, Alaska. Despite the location of his vehicle, no trace of Thompson was found in the area, and he has not been heard from since.
