Terry Lynn Lowery, a 19-year-old from Maxton, North Carolina, was last seen on May 8, 1995. On the day of his disappearance, Terry left his home on foot to visit a friend. After spending time at the friend's house, he left again, intending to walk to another friend's home, but he never arrived and has not been seen since. Terry had little to no money with him at the time of his disappearance, and there have been no clear indications of his whereabouts in the years since.
