Margie Shaw Boone, a 66-year-old woman from Sanford, North Carolina, was last seen on November 4, 1995. She had been spending time with her boyfriend, Hoyle Smith, at his home. Both Boone and Smith disappeared under suspicious circumstances, as bloodstains and signs of a struggle were found in Smith’s house shortly after they were reported missing. Smith's car was later located in the parking lot of a bar in Fayetteville, but there was no trace of the couple.
