Both girls were reported missing later that month when their families grew increasingly concerned.
Prior to her disappearance, Roseanna had attended an alternative learning center due to truancy issues. She also had brushes with the law and had completed a program for youth offenders earlier that summer. Investigators believe foul play may be involved in her case, as neither Roseanna nor April has been seen or heard from since. There were unverified reports that they attended a party in St. Paul and may have been harmed afterward, but searches, including an excavation near Wadena, Minnesota, yielded no evidence.
