Chad Pallansch, a 49-year-old experienced trail runner from Fort Collins, Colorado, went missing on September 27, 2023, during an ambitious 28-mile solo hike through Rocky Mountain National Park. His planned route began at the East Inlet Trailhead near Grand Lake, intending to cross the Continental Divide and traverse both established and off-trail areas.
