Jason John Guptill, 24 years old, was last seen on January 5, 2005, when he left his residence in Charlotte, North Carolina, to go to a nearby store. He never returned, and two days later, his car was found abandoned at Kings Mountain State Park in Blacksburg, South Carolina. Despite searches and investigations, no further trace of him has been found, and the circumstances surrounding his disappearance remain unclear.
