Bryan Andrew Hayes, age 13, went missing on February 10, 2005, from Jacksonville, Florida, along with his friend Mark Degner. Both boys, who were students at Paxon Middle School, left the school premises after an argument with a teacher around 1:15 p.m. and were never seen again. Bryan had a developmental delay, with the emotional maturity of a much younger child, and suffered from bipolar disorder, requiring daily medication that he did not have with him when he disappeared.
