Tisa Gantt, a 36-year-old woman from Titusville, Florida, was last seen on January 7, 2007. Prior to her disappearance, Tisa had reported being sexually assaulted by a man named Edwin Deon Morris. She feared retaliation from Morris for going to the authorities, which added to the ominous circumstances surrounding her case. Morris was later identified as a person of interest but has not been officially charged in connection to her disappearance. He is currently serving a prison sentence for unrelated offenses. Despite initial searches, no evidence has directly linked him to her case.
The only trace of Gantt surfaced three years after she went missing when her purse was discovered in 2010, in a ditch near W.C. Stafford Street. The purse, found with her belongings still inside, had been left undisturbed for so long that weeds had grown through it. A search of the surrounding area turned up no further clues.
