Lottie Albertha Wise, a 91-year-old woman suffering from advanced Alzheimer's disease, disappeared from her residence on Venus Drive in Titusville, Florida, on January 10, 2006. She was living with her daughter at the time, having moved in six months earlier. Lottie was last seen at 9:25 p.m. when she walked out of the house while her daughter was in the shower. Despite an alarm system notifying her daughter that the door had opened, Lottie vanished before she could be found.
