Skye Budnick, a 21-year-old student from Southington, Connecticut, was last seen on March 31, 2008. A junior at Central Connecticut State University, Skye had a deep interest in Japanese culture and left the U.S. on April 1, 2008, after purchasing a one-way ticket to Japan. Her family later discovered that she had not informed anyone of her travel plans.
